There’s lots to celebrate in April: Easter, April Fool’s, Vitamin C Day (yes, that’s totally a thing!). April usually means the start of spring. Which, to most people, means flowers and new rain boots. But for us, it mean learning about BUGS.
That’s right, b-u-g-s.
Let me preface by saying that I hate bugs. I hate spiders. I hate snails. I hate mosquitos. I hate hate hate bugs. Any type, any place. I don’t care how “pretty” or “precious” it is. I don’t like it.
So, doing this unit has really forced me to push myself out of my comfort zone. It has forced me to explore more and embrace messes. One of the things that I promised myself when I became a mother was that I was going to do my best to not push my insecurities and anxieties on to my children.
So, this month, in this bug unit, I’ll be sharing with you some of our favorite bug teaching apps, some links to fun DIYS, some cool games we like, and some fun sensory bin ideas.
Make sure you follow along on our Insta-stories and subscribe below to get the complete unit!
